Artificial intelligence (AI) applications are transforming many professions, and eye care stands to benefit significantly from the insights this advanced technology can bring to medical decision-making.
The AI in Eye Care eJournal was recently launched by Jobson as a resource for optometrists, ophthalmologists and opticians to stay up to date on the latest technologies and news. The launch follows Jobson’s successful AI presentation during Vision Expo West 2024, “The Artificial Intelligence Revolution: Practical Applications in Eye Care Today.” All content will be located at www.aiineyecare.com.
AI in Eye Care will ensure that all eyecare professionals are regularly apprised of how their practices are being digitally transformed by artificial intelligence’s patient care and practice management capabilities. |
AI in Eye Care will post new content weekly, with subscribers regularly receiving email updates sharing original feature articles, news announcements, AI tools for eye care, resources for further reference and more.
The site is curated by optometrist Scot Morris, OD, and ophthalmologist Rehan Ahmed, MD. Dr. Morris has practiced for 25 years in various clinical settings and served as a technology author, magazine chief optometric editor, corporate advisor, practice consultant and prominent educator. He has started or cofounded multiple companies and participated in multiple clinical trials. Dr. Ahmed is a practicing ophthalmologist and Chief Medical Officer at Blink, a start-up in remote ocular health care.
“AI is poised to bring greater change to the industry than any other technology in our lifetime, and we will be there to help guide you on your AI journey with AI in Eye Care, the first journal of its kind, designed to enlighten and educate readers about the pervasive changes that AI is bringing to all facets of the eye care industry,” said Dr. Morris in a press release.
