New Contact Lens for Astigmatism
Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism contact lenses, from Vistakon, is the newest addition to the Ultra Comfort Series. The series includes Acuvue Advance with Hydraclear. This new lens features:

Hydraclear, the companys patented mixture of oxygen-rich material and a moisture-rich wetting agent.

Proprietary technology that harnesses the natural pressures of the blinking eye to prevent lens rotation. The lens uses the eyelid to stabilize, so it can settle into place within one minute and prevent rotation, thus reducing chair time, the company says.

99% ultraviolet B and 95% ultraviolet A blockage.
The lens is available in a 14.5mm diameter, 8.6mm base curve and three power ranges:

Plano to 6.00D (0.25D steps) with cylinders 0.75D to 1.75D (0.50D steps) and axis 10 to 180 (10 steps).

Shamir Insight Inc. has expanded its Genesis and Piccolo Transitions V with ESP (Enhanced Scientific Performance) product lines to include the Genesis Hi-Index SuperLite MR-10 in 1.67 in Transitions V Gray, Genesis Hi-Index SuperLite 1.6 in Transitions V Gray and Piccolo Hi-Index SuperLite 1.6 in Transitions V Gray.

The new Genesis lines and Piccolo lens offer fitting heights of 19mm and 16mm, respectively; an abbe value of 42, and a tensile strength of 23 DEG.
